Customer Journey Mapping & Optimization

Understand what truly excites your customers – and turn every touchpoint into an experience.

Your customers go through dozens of touchpoints with your company – from the first click to post-purchase service. But how many of them do you really know? Whether you are a large corporation or a medium-sized business, most organizations lack a holistic view of the actual customer experience. Touchpoints emerge by chance, pain points remain invisible, and the crucial moments of truth – the moments when customers decide to stay or leave – go unrecognized. The result: missed opportunities for a better customer experience, declining customer satisfaction, and customer loyaltythat falls short of its potential.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions? We have the answers.

How many customer journeys should we map at the same time?

We recommend starting with 1–3 journeys that offer the greatest strategic leverage. More is possible, but focus delivers better results than breadth. We will make the selection together during the kick-off.

Do we need quantitative data in advance, or are qualitative insights sufficient?

Both have value. Ideally, we combine analytics data with qualitative interviews and observations. If data is missing, we rely more on stakeholder knowledge and customer interviews – and still deliver reliable results.

What is the difference between an as-is and a to-be journey?

The as-is journey shows reality: what do customers actually experience? The to-be journey shows the goal: what should they ideally experience? The comparison makes areas for action visible and prioritizable.

How do we ensure that the results don't just end up in a drawer?

Every mapping concludes with a concrete action plan, clear responsibilities, and quick wins. We also recommend a review after 6–8 weeks to assess progress.

Can we conduct customer journey mapping internally without external support?

In principle, yes. However, an external perspective provides objectivity, avoids blind spots, and significantly accelerates the process. Upon request, we can also provide you with a methodology that allows you to update journeys independently in the future.
