Introduction of agile project management

Agile is not just a buzzword. It is the difference between reacting and shaping.

As a project manager/lead you know the scenario: projects are running, but somehow never quite the way they should. Schedulesslip, requirements change overnight, and in the end, the result still doesn't meet expectations. Traditional project management with its rigid phases, long planning cycles, and set-in-stone specifications reaches its limits in a world of constant change. Teams work in silos, feedback comes too late, and true customer focus falls by the wayside. Whether you are managing a project portfolio, responsible for development teams, or need to ensure operational excellence: if your company needs to react faster than your current structures allow, it is time for a new approach.

Solution Approach

Change is not a disruption; it is your greatest lever. This is exactly where our approach to implementing agile project management comes in. We bring agile methods like Scrum, Kanban or tailored hybrid models into your company and ensure they actually work. No off-the-shelf theory, but a transformation processthat fits your organization. Our experienced agile coaches support you and your teams not just during implementation, but until agile working becomes part of your everyday routine. It’s about more than just new methods: we create the foundation for a work culturethat focuses on flexibility, personal responsibility, and continuous improvement.

Benefits

  • Faster to market through short iteration cycles that deliver usable results in weeks instead of months
  • Stay calm during change through a way of working that treats plan changes as the norm rather than a crisis
  • Full transparency for everyone involved through regular reviews, clear priorities, and visible progress
  • Lower risk, higher quality through early feedback, continuous testing, and ongoing adjustments

Approach

  1. Current State Assessment: Where does your project management stand today? We analyze existing processes, structures, and team dynamics to identify the most effective levers for agile working together.
  2. Defining the Target State: What should agile project work look like for you? We work with you to define the right framework, roles, and target state for your company.
  3. Creating an Implementation Plan: Together, we plan pilot projects, milestones, and supporting change management measures—concrete, realistic, and tailored to your organization.
  4. Empowering Teams: Our agile coaches train and support Product Owners, Scrum Masters, managers, and project teams in a practical, interactive, and collaborative way.
  5. Supporting Pilot Projects (Optional): The first sprints are facilitated by us. We provide live coaching during dailies, reviews, and retrospectives, helping to anchor agile routines in your day-to-day project work.
  6. Learning and Scaling (Ongoing): Agility thrives on learning. We evaluate what works, make adjustments, and roll out these insights to other teams and projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions? We have the answers.

Which agile framework is the best fit for our company?

That depends on your team structure, your products, and your existing work culture. Scrum is particularly well-suited for development teams with clearly defined products, while Kanban works best for teams with high-volume daily operations and variable tasks. Often, a hybrid model is the best solution. As a first step, we will analyze together which framework fits your reality.

How long does it take for agile working to really become part of everyday life?

Experience shows that the first routines take hold after 4–6 weeks. Depending on the size of the organization, it takes 3–6 months for agile principles to become firmly anchored in the culture. The key is not speed, but consistency: regular retrospectives, visible quick wins, and management that actively supports the change.

Do we have to completely restructure our organization?

No. Introducing agile doesn't mean turning everything upside down at once. We start with targeted pilot teams and expand step by step. The existing structure remains in place initially, while agile roles and processes are integrated bit by bit. This minimizes risk and builds acceptance.

What should we do if managers or teams are skeptical about agility?

Skepticism is normal and even healthy. We address it with transparency, quick wins, and concrete proof of value rather than dogma. Our coaches work closely with skeptical stakeholders to demonstrate in day-to-day project work how agile methods solve real problems instead of just creating more meetings.

Can we introduce agile methods in just a few individual departments?

Absolutely. Many of our clients intentionally start in one area, such as IT or product development, and scale from there. This has the advantage of allowing you to gain experience, document success factors, and bring other departments along organically, rather than risking a "big bang" rollout.
