Vibe Coding Audit

From chatbot sketch to production-ready software - we’ll tell you where your AI-generated code really stands.

More and more applications are no longer being designed on the drawing boards of software developers today, but via prompt: departments, founders, and motivated individuals are using ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, Cursor, and others to build in days what used to take weeks. The result runs, looks good, and is often put into production surprisingly quickly. What is often missing is hidden beneath the surface: security vulnerabilities, missing access controls, no operational or monitoring concepts, unclear cost structures, no testing strategy, and no scaling or backup provisions. We call this “AI slop”: code that appears functional but fails to meet the basic requirements for production systems. Without a sound assessment, this risk often only becomes visible when it’s too late: during a data breach, a system failure under load, or when cloud bills skyrocket. This is exactly where you need the trained eye of experienced software architects before a clever prototype turns into an expensive problem.

Vibe Coding Audit

Solution Approach

Assessing AI-generated code yourself is nearly impossible for non-technical users - the application runs, so everything seems fine. It is precisely this misconception that our Vibe Coding Audit resolves. Experienced software developers and architects with years of practice take your codebase, regardless of its origin - whether created by AI, a low-code platform, or developed in-house - and put it under the microscope. We systematically evaluate it against established criteria for production-ready software: Security, maintainability, architecture, cost-efficiency, operations & monitoring, as well as scalability and deployment capabilities. Instead of a vague gut feeling, you get a reliable, transparent assessment with concrete findings, risk classification, and prioritized recommendations for action – serving as a basis for decision-makingregarding whether your system is ready to go live, which improvements are mandatory, and what the realistic effort for these will be.

Benefits

  • Objective risk assessment instead of gut feeling: Experienced architects evaluate your application based on established criteria for production-ready software, regardless of how the code was created.
  • Identify security gaps before go-live: Critical vulnerabilities in authentication, data storage, access controls, or interfaces are identified before they become incidents.
  • Avoid costly surprises during operations: Missing scaling, monitoring, or backup concepts, as well as inefficient cloud usage, are identified early rather than only after a failure or cost explosion.
  • Clear basis for investment decisions: You will learn exactly whether an application is "go-live-ready," where improvements are needed, and what level of effort to realistically expect.
  • Actionable recommendations instead of just a list of bugs: Prioritized, clearly formulated recommendations enable targeted improvements, even for teams without deep technical expertise.

Approach

  1. Kick-off & Context: We clarify the origin, purpose, user base, and criticality of the application to scale the review according to context and risk.
  2. Codebase & Architecture Review: Structure, technology choices, and dependencies are examined to gain a reliable overview of the technical foundation.
  3. Security Review: We examine authentication, authorization, data storage, secrets management, interfaces, and common vulnerability classes (e.g., based on OWASP criteria).
  4. Assessment of Operations, Monitoring & Scalability: Deployment processes, logging, alerting, backup strategies, and performance under load are evaluated.
  5. Maintainability & Cost Efficiency Analysis: Code quality, test coverage, documentation, as well as infrastructure and licensing costs are reviewed for sustainability.
  6. Consolidation & Prioritization of Findings: All findings are categorized by risk and effort and condensed into a clear action plan.
  7. Presentation of Results & Recommendations: We present the results in an understandable way, including concrete next steps for improvements or further development.

Deliverables

  • Production Readiness Report with a structured assessment covering security, maintainability, architecture, operations, and cost efficiency
  • Prioritized List of Findings with risk classification (critical / high / medium / low) for every identified vulnerability
  • Concrete recommendations for action including rough effort estimates for the most important improvements
  • Security brief assessment of the biggest vulnerability classes and acute risks
  • Assessment of operational and scaling capabilities for the planned scope of use
  • Management summary in plain language as a basis for decisions on go-live, investment, or improvements

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions? We have the answers.

We aren't an IT company—will we even understand the report?

Yes. The review is explicitly aimed at non-technical stakeholders as well: business departments, founders, or product owners. The results are presented in an understandable management summary, supplemented by technical details for your development team or external service providers.

Does the application have to have been created entirely with AI?

No. The check is suitable for any codebase where there is uncertainty about production readiness, whether it was created using an AI tool, a low-code platform, a freelance developer, or in-house.

What if critical security vulnerabilities are found?

Critical findings will be communicated to you immediately, independent of the final report, so you can react right away. The final report also includes a prioritized roadmap for remediation.

Do you fix the identified problems yourselves?

The review provides you with a clear, prioritized action agenda. Upon request, we can also support you with the actual implementation—from security fixes and refactoring to the development of operational and monitoring concepts.

How long does a review take and what does the effort depend on?

Depending on the scope, complexity, and criticality of the application, a review typically takes 1–3 weeks. The size of the codebase, the number of interfaces, and the sensitivity of the data being processed are the primary factors.
